Tiny Trio

Hailing from Nashville and Murfreesboro but bringing experiences from New York City, Boston, China, Detroit, Toronto, San Francisco, and Chicago, the Tiny Trio is a group of explosive jazz, funk, and fusion musicians dedicating to creating exciting instrumental music both composed and improvised.  Tiny Trio performances include cover songs and originals as well as totally improvised jams that are open to spectators to sit in on and play too!  These spontaneous creations are part of what makes the trio unique while their high level of musicianship, versatility, chops, and artistry is the rest of what guarantees each show will be unforgettable.

The Tiny Trio is Cory Ponder on drum set, Max McKellar on electric bass, and Matt Lund on electric guitar.  These three have honed their craft by playing with many great musicians such as Jeff Coffin, Mike Stern, Don Aliquo, Greg Osby, Narada Michael Walden, and Bill Clements, while also pursuing their own original projects.  They have formally studied music at top schools such as the Berklee College of Music, Middle Tennessee State University, and Kalamazoo College, and are all music educators and producers as well.
